Will a transfer gpa of 2.7 get me into UC Davis?Does it help that I completed all my LowerDiv prior to transfr?

I am basically a Bio major and at my junior college I have been primarily taking chemistry, biology, math and physics to complete all the lower division requirements which has also resulted in a low gpa

Even though I have a 2.7 gpa and the requirement they suggest to have is 2.8 can I still get in?

I have completed every single lower division requirement (according to assist.org) My biology, chem, ochem, physics, english, calculus, general ed will all be completed prior to transfer for my intended major (Biopsychology) Does this help my case?


If it isn't and I get rejected... how do I appeal to the school?

BenTis 		Hard to say. Your GPA doesn't make you very competitive at all. The average GPA for getting into UC Davis is about 3.33 and as the above poster mentioned, biology is a very competitive major. You also need to think about what classes you're getting lower grades in. They will only get more hard from here, will you be able to handle it?

Anyway, I would go to your community college counseling center and talk to a Davis rep. They'll be able to give you a much better answer than any of us can probably :)

If you happen to live in the area, or can make it to the area, davis is having a preview day October 16th. Maybe you can talk to someone then

john12 		Bio majors are competitive and you must meet the additional screening requirements. If you are ok with not getting into BIo but still attending Davis, then you should specify an alternate major that is not in the College of Biological Sciences.
